Senior Support
Positions Available
The Orillia Seniors News Line is meant to deliver an abridged (2-3 minute) version of the daily local news by phone to seniors who cannot access digital media due to cognitive, financial or technical limitations and/or who may have other accessibility issues (e.g. vision loss). Volunteers are the heart of the program, lending their voices to inform and engage seniors with daily news and interesting topics. A full set of the volunteer guidelines and instructions is available from Reception at Information Orillia. If you are interested in this volunteering opportunity, please drop in to the office for a copy or request that we email it to you.
